The mobile web is back!
Came across this article while reading over someone else's shoulder on the subway today.
Over the last one year, the debate over focusing on mobile apps vis-a-vis the mobile web has only intensified - there were some great talks at Meta Refresh 2015 that touched upon that theme, and it seems product companies are now waking up to the realization that apps don't always guarantee growth, and it's possible - and maybe even easier - to create a powerful user experience with a mobile website. And that's awesome. All this time, companies have focused on app downloads as an indicator for success, when the reality is far different; app downloads don't mean great retention, or even onboarding, for that matter.
